The design of the bridge is now complete, and we have obtained the materials required. The bridge is currently in the fabrication stage, and we will be needing help as we move along further. The bridge will be a light-gauge cold formed steel bridge to minimize weight while being quite stiff and rigid.
This project is being designed as a Senior Design Capstone project.
The bridge took 7th place overall at the PSWRC in Manoa, Hawaii. Other places were 3rd place for lightness and 4th place for stiffness. The design presentation will be April 23 at 10:30 AM in the Meadows room in the DuBois Center.
